Mine had no missing pieces, although that might just be a given with Ravensburger. As I expected from Ravensburger, this has some of the best cardboard/paperboard/whatever and cutting I've ever seen in a puzzle The picture is pretty dumb, but excellently printed. It's probably not any higher quality than other Ravensburger puzzles, or other brands this good, but the photo highlights the quality more than the puzzle on any other puzzle I've seen. For all I know, Pomegranate may be even better than Ravensburger (I've only briefly seen one of their puzzles), but because the image on it was a Renaissance painting, this Ravensburger puzzle is much more obviously well-printed. All of which basically goes to say "real nice like all Ravensburger puzzles." Also, in the extremely unlikely event that you're trying to prove better puzzles are worth the (usually) higher price tag, I guess this puzzle is maybe the best candidate for that? Anyway, it looks like it'll hold up well as you'd expect from Ravensburger, & I'd rate it 5 stars in every category I can think of, although I'm not remotely qualified to do so (this is a real nerdy review, but compare me to something like Jigsaw Junkies). Because of this puzzle, I'll now keep an eye out for discounted puzzles of from previous sports seasons. Which reminds me of my other commentary on the image, which is a simple concept, but is a little complicated to express in words: To me, this is one of the least interesting puzzle images I've seen, but in terms of "puzzling," it has pretty great "image composition" or whatever. There are multiple clearly distinct areas, & nothing in those areas is entirely random (like, you could squint at the box & figure out exactly which hand or foot is on a particular piece), but there still aren't many pieces whose location is immediately obvious. World class "puzzlers" (I assume there are puzzle tournaments?) might do crazy puzzles with abstract art (and a jillion pieces), but if you're not aspiring to be that, very few people would find this puzzle too easy. And although it's relatively hard, few adults (with decent eyesight) would throw up their hands in frustration, at least if they have someone else working on it with them.
